Glitch Box Mk II
I wanted to improve on the Glitch Box Mk I, so I decided to make another box with a double APC circuit but better controls. I started with the same circuit as the Mk I but did the second circuit rotated instead of mirrored.
I used sockets for the timers because I had some - I might as well have soldered the chips right to the board though. This board didn't have the channels down the center for + and ground, so I made some large copper strips to hook to. This time I ended up splitting the two signals to the left and right channel of a stereo output. There is still a lot of weird interplay between the two sounds though.
This time I put knobs and control ports for each circuit on the box. So the box can be played by itself with the knobs, or you can plug in a control device like the keyboard or pedal, for either circuit, for either parameter (interval or tune).
I used a pair of circuit board risers to attach the board to the enclosure (another castoff from work), and with a box this big I was able to attach everything to the front face, which was a huge help. Especially since you have to remove the back to replace the battery.
Stereo audio comes out the top, control ports are on either side, and power comes from internal battery or power adapter.
